$500.00 to $1,000.00
Description

Capital Farm Credit (CFC) is proud to provide grants for community outreach/community service programs, as well as farmers markets.

CFC's Community Outreach Grant Program provides grants to Texas FFA chapters and 4-H clubs to assist them in bringing positive change by establishing projects that make local communities better places to live. Grants range from $500-$1000 (dependent on the proposed budget of the chapter). Priority consideration will be given to applicants within the CFC chartered territory, and individual livestock projects are not eligible. While grant applications will be accepted year-round, grants will be awarded twice a year -- March 1 to May 1 for the spring period, and Sept. 1 to Nov. 1 for the fall period. Winners will be chosen about two weeks following the close of the application season.

CFC's Farmers Market Grant Program provides local markets with additional resources needed to support local farmers and the ag community. Each grant recipient receives a check for $1,000 for use at their respective market. Eligible farmers markets will be considered with submission of a completed application, proof of 501c3 status or a W-9 form. Note: The Farmers Market grant program is open to community-run farmers markets only. Privately-owned businesses are not eligible. Preference will be given to farmers markets within Capital Farm Credit’s chartered territory. While the grant application will be open year-round, the primary focus for these grants will be in the summer, between June 1 and Aug. 1. Winners will be chosen about two weeks following the close of the application season.
